For example, I recently tried a case in March in Volusia County involving a client that was paralyzed from the waist down as a result of an auto accident.  At the conclusion of the trial, the jury awarded the client $13,750,000.00 in damages including $7,500,000.00 for pain and suffering.

What Board Certification Means to Our Clients

In 1975, the Florida Supreme Court began certifying attorneys as being board certified. They did so to educate the public better as to the qualifications of attorneys. It also was done to encourage attorneys to develop their trial skills. You become board certified by taking cases to trial. There's nothing more valuable to our clients than the assurance that a board certified trial lawyer is working on your case. Every time we walk into the courtroom, our future clients receive the benefit of that experience.

Past Insurance Defense Experience

Prior to becoming a personal injury attorney, I spent six years as an insurance defense lawyer and had the opportunity to watch the insurance companies handle their personal injury claims first hand. It's been a great advantage as a personal injury attorney now to have that experience. I know the way the insurance companies think.  I know what kinds of cases make them nervous and know how they are going to try their cases.
